Well here we are, session is booked, consultation is done and your session is coming up! Now what?

Preparing for your session will help you feel excited and confidant on the day of your session! Always reach out if you have questions, but here a few helpful tips for preparing in the weeks and days before your B.True session.

Shop and plan your outfits in advance.

We all have a few sexy items in our closet that we love, be sure to try them on again, make sure they still hug your curves and fall just where you want them to.

Buy some new things that make you feel amazing ! Try a variety of looks to give your session a different feel as you change outfits. (FYI: For my last session I wore a pastel teddy, a cute pin up style corset and stockings with a birdcage veil and a black leather strapless corset with leather pants).

Try it on! Even the thigh highs that came with the outfit you ordered online. I have seen one to many times, thigh highs that come with outfits are too small around the thigh or not long enough to get to the thigh. I don’t know why this happens, but it does. A lot!

Bring options! You have a plan, but suddenly the day of, you are just not feeling it, it's nice to have a have back up outfit! Also, If you are unsure, bring some extra things along and I will help you decide!

Heels: I love barefoot but a pair of high heels looks super sexy in some photos!

In addition, if you are planning some cozy boudoir style photos, bring your favorite book, a special coffee mug you always use, a favorite wine glass or the blanket you always snuggle under. This session is individual to each person and should be a reminder of the things you love to make it extra special.

A week before: The little details.

Mani. Pedi. Hair. OH MY! These details are just as important as the outfits.

A little pampering goes a long way. That little extra self-care will help you feel relaxed and confident walking through our doors, but will also add the little extra pop to your boudoir photos.

If you color or highlight your hair, be sure to touch it up the week of your session. Be sure to have a fresh polish on your fingers and toes. Those little details are important as your fingers and toes always show — and so will your roots

Stay Hydrated & Moisturized

Start drinking lots of water 2–3 days before your session. Well-hydrated skin is glowing skin! Apply a gentle moisturizer daily, but skip heavy lotions on the day of your shoot.

Avoid Alcohol the night before your session

Alcohol often leaves our skin dehydrated and our face a little puffy.

The day of you session:

Stretch a little in the morning

Boudoir posing can be a little different than everyday movements, so a light stretch may help with some of the poses you are not used to doing.

Dress in loose clothing on the way to your session.

Wear something soft, loose and comfy to the session. Tight clothing, socks, seams from jeans, as well as tight bras will leave lines on your skin.

Bring Clean, Dry Hair to Your Appointment (if you opted to use my hair and makeup artist)

If hair and makeup are included in your session (or optional), arrive with clean, dry hair so your stylist can work their magic.

If you opted to do your own hair and makeup

Come ready to get started! Be sure your hair and makeup are ready to go when you arrive. Bring some touchup lipstick to reapply part way through if needed.

Please do not use glitter body lotion or spray.
I love sparkle as much (probably more) as the next girl, BUT...The glitter catches the light and will look like dust spots.

Eat a Light Meal Beforehand

You’ll want energy, but not feel too full—so a light, healthy snack or meal is a great idea before your shoot.

Bring extra accessories, and an extra outfit, just in case.

Don’t get caught with a run in your pantyhose. And as I mentioned earlier be sure to have an extra pair or two of stockings or thigh highs. Runs can happen and you want to be sure you have tried those thigh highs on to be sure they fit. Especially the ones that come with online outfits, they are often way too small. I suggest a good pair of thigh highs from a local store. Also, have a backup outfit in case you are not feeling one of the outfits you planned on wearing. It happens.

Most important, Have fun!

Make sure you give yourself time to buy new outfits, enjoy your mani/pedi. It’s all part of the experience. And when you get to the studio, I will be here to greet you with a smile, music, and let the glam begin!

If you are feeling a little anxious or shy, not sure if the outfits are just what you want, let me know, I will be happy to talk through outfit choices.,

or put your mind at ease. It really is a fun experience, I love what I do, and want you to love it to! I am happy to give you a little time to talk it out!
